Meet Rook — the operator inside Nerve OS

Most AI waits for a prompt. Rook runs your day: it reads your inbox, builds your tasks, keeps your calendar truthful, briefs you each morning and watches the things you'd otherwise forget. This page walks through everything it automates — each one a capability you can switch on, tune and always approve before it acts.

A day with Rook

  1. 07:00

    The morning briefing arrives

Meetings, priorities, overdue items and goal momentum — one message, only because there's something worth saying.

  2. 09:15

    Inbox triage happens by itself

Overnight email is summarised and prioritised. Two messages contain work: Rook has already drafted the tasks, each linked back to its email.

  3. 11:30

A meeting moves — the calendar follows

A reschedule email lands. Rook finds the matching event, moves it to the new time and notifies you what changed.

  4. 14:00

    You forward a train ticket

Rook reads the date, times, route and seat, and proposes the journey on your calendar with the ticket attached for the barrier.

  5. 17:45

    The radar checks tomorrow

Three deadlines collide with a meeting-heavy day. Rook suggests moving two tasks now — while there's still time.

The capabilities of Rook

Ten automations that together take the admin out of running a business. Each works on its own; together they compound.

Capability 1

Inbox intelligence

Rook reads your email so you don't have to

Forward any mailbox — Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail or a custom domain — and Rook reads every incoming message. It writes a short plain-English summary of each email, groups threads, and marks the messages that actually matter, so a crowded inbox becomes a short, prioritised list.

In practice: A long investor thread lands at 7:40. At 7:41 your inbox shows a three-line summary: what they asked, what they offered, and the one reply they're waiting on.

Capability 2

Automatic task creation

Emails become tasks, linked back to the source

When an email contains something you need to do, Rook proposes a task with the deadline and context already filled in. Approve it with one tap and the task is created — with a permanent link back to the exact email it came from, so you can always see why it exists.

In practice: "Can you send the updated deck by Friday?" becomes a task due Friday, with the original email one tap away.

Capability 3

A self-updating calendar

Reschedules and cancellations apply themselves

When an email says a meeting has moved, changed venue or been called off, Rook finds the matching calendar entry and updates or removes it automatically — then sends you a notification explaining exactly what changed, with a link to the email that caused it. No manual editing, no stale appointments.

In practice: "Your appointment has moved to Tuesday 14:30" — the event moves itself, and a notification tells you it happened.

Capability 4

Ticket & document reading

Send a ticket, get a calendar entry

Drop a train ticket, flight confirmation or invite into the chat and Rook reads it: dates, times, route, seat, booking reference. It proposes the calendar entry — one per leg for a return journey — and once you approve, the original file stays attached to the event so you can pull it up on your phone at the barrier.

In practice: Forward a return rail booking and get two calendar events — outbound and return — each with the ticket attached.

Capability 5

Morning briefing

One summary instead of five apps

Each morning Rook sends a single briefing: today's meetings, your priorities, what's overdue and how your goals are moving. It's only sent when there's genuinely something worth saying — quiet mornings stay quiet — and it stops automatically if you step away from the app.

In practice: 7:00 — three meetings, one deadline at risk, and a goal that hasn't moved in two weeks. All in one message.

Capability 6

Workload radar

Problems flagged before they become fires

Rook runs a quiet scan over your next seven days: deadlines approaching on unstarted work, days where meetings and due dates collide, tasks piling up overdue, goals with no movement. Instead of a crisis on Thursday, you get one calm line on Monday.

In practice: "Thursday has four deadlines and three meetings — want to move two of the tasks earlier in the week?"

Capability 7

Watchers

Automated checks that report back on a schedule

Watchers are standing instructions Rook follows for you: monitor a competitor's site, watch for mentions of a topic, keep an eye on a price or a page. They run on the schedule you set and deliver their findings to your inbox or the app — and you can loosen or pause any of them at any time.

In practice: "Watch this competitor's changelog every Monday and tell me if anything ships" — done, every week, without you asking.

Capability 8

Marketing operator

Strategy, drafts, images and scheduling

Rook stores your marketing strategy as living chapters, drafts posts in your voice, generates the artwork for each one, and schedules publishing across your channels. It watches your cadence and warns you about gaps in the next seven days before they happen — so your marketing runs even when you're busy doing the work.

In practice: On Friday, Rook notices nothing is scheduled for next week and hands you three drafted, illustrated posts to approve.

Capability 9

Goals & momentum

Progress tracked, next steps coached

Tell Rook what you're aiming for and it records the goal, links it to your projects and tasks, and keeps score automatically as work gets done. When you pitch a new idea, it checks what's already in flight and gives you a gentle heads-up before helping you anyway — a coach that knows your whole picture.

In practice: "That new idea overlaps with your December goal, and your week is already full — want to park it or swap something out?"

Capability 10

Approval-first action

Nothing happens behind your back

Every action that touches your data — creating tasks, changing events, scheduling posts, setting reminders — goes through a one-tap approval card first. You approve, Rook executes. And because actions are durable, a dropped connection doesn't lose work: close the tab mid-task and it finishes, with a notification when it's done.

In practice: Rook prepares a batch of calendar changes from a long email; you review them all and approve with a single tap.

How it works

1. Connect

Forward your email and connect Google or Microsoft calendars. Rook never signs into your mailbox — you control exactly what is forwarded.

2. Rook watches and reads

Incoming email, calendar changes, deadlines and goals are read continuously. Summaries, proposed tasks and event updates are prepared for you.

3. You approve, it acts

Anything that touches your data waits on a one-tap approval card. Approve and it executes immediately — or reject it and nothing happens.

Private by design, under your control

  • Your personal data is redacted before anything reaches a third-party model, and email bodies are stored encrypted.
  • Rook never signs into your mailbox — you choose what gets forwarded, and you can disconnect at any time.
  • Every consequential action is approval-first; nothing changes your data silently.
  • Briefings, notifications and watchers are all tunable — from off to highly proactive — and respect your quiet hours.
