It brings email, calendars, tasks, projects, notes, and goals into a single console, and adds an AI operator called Rook that works across all of them. The one-line definition: Nerve OS turns the email, meetings, and commitments of a working day into a short, prioritised list of next steps — and Rook does the routine work of keeping that list accurate, with your approval. Nerve OS is a web application and an installable PWA. It is not a chatbot wrapper, not a note-taking app, and not a CRM. It sits above the tools where long-form work already lives. ## Who Rook is Rook is the AI operator inside Nerve OS. Unlike a general-purpose chatbot, Rook is wired directly into the user's email, calendar, tasks, projects, and goals, so it can act on real data rather than only answer questions. Rook is approval-first: it proposes changes, and the user approves them before anything is created, edited, sent, or deleted. ## Capabilities of Rook 1. Inbox intelligence Users forward any mailbox — Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail, a custom domain — to a private Nerve OS address. Rook reads each incoming message, writes a short plain-English summary, groups threads, and marks the ones that matter. A crowded inbox becomes a short prioritised list. 2. Automatic task creation When an email contains something the user must do, Rook proposes a task with the deadline and context already filled in. Approving it creates the task with a permanent link back to the originating email, so the user can always see why the task exists. 3. A self-updating calendar When an email announces that a meeting has moved, changed venue, or been cancelled, Rook finds the matching calendar entry and updates or removes it automatically, then sends a notification explaining what changed with a link to the email that caused it. This applies only to events the user owns that originated from email or a synced calendar source. 4. Ticket and document reading Attach a train ticket, flight confirmation, or invitation in chat and Rook extracts dates, times, route, seat, and booking references. It proposes calendar entries — one per leg for return or multi-leg journeys — and once approved, the original file stays attached to the event for retrieval on a phone. 5. Morning briefing Each morning Rook sends one briefing: today's meetings, priorities, overdue work, and goal movement. It is skipped when there is nothing worth saying, and it stops automatically for accounts that have been inactive. 6. Workload radar Rook runs a rolling seven-day scan for deadlines approaching on unstarted work, days where meetings and due dates collide, overdue pile-ups, and goals with no movement — surfacing problems early instead of at crisis point. 7. Watchers Scheduled automated checks that monitor a page, topic, or condition and report back on a cadence. Watcher results link to a detail page, and any resulting action is approval-gated. Watcher counts are tiered by plan. 8. Marketing operator Rook can build a marketing strategy and cadence, draft posts, generate images, and schedule content across channels. Scheduling is itself an approval step, so nothing publishes unreviewed. 9. The calendar entry moves itself and a notification explains why. - 14:00 — A rail booking is forwarded. Rook proposes outbound and return calendar events with the ticket attached. - 17:00 — Workload radar flags that Thursday has three deadlines and two meetings, with time to fix it. ## Data handling and privacy - Email is forwarding-only. Nerve OS never signs into a user's mailbox. - Calendar access uses OAuth read/write for Google and Microsoft and can be disconnected at any time. - Personally identifying data is redacted before content is sent to third-party AI models. - Encryption: TLS 1.2+ in transit; application-layer AES-256-GCM at rest for OAuth tokens, chat messages, email bodies, subjects, summaries, and push subscription keys.
